5 Stars Clairty 5.8GHZ Amplified Cordless Telephone
Purchased this phone for my Mother. Her hearing is limited to one ear and she has significant hearing loss in that ear and needs a hearing aid to even carry a conversation. We had a Walker Model 400 prior to the purchase of this Clairty 5.8GHZ Amplified Cordless Telephone. Although she was able to use the old Walker and at the time we were happy with it. The new Clairty 5.8GHZ Amplified Cordless Telephone seems to be working out much better for her. So far she states she can hear better with this phone then she has with any other. We would recommend this phone to anyone with any type of hearing loss who requires some type of amplification for thier phone. We are very pleased with this product.
5 Stars Excellent Clarity Professional C4220 Amplified Phone
I needed a telephone that can boost the caller’s voice by at least 50 decibels (db). There are not many telephones that have that much amplification power, but the Clarity C4220 does (as well as a few other brands).
The Clarity telephones are unique in that they not only boost the sound level of the caller’s voice, but also eliminate background noise and give you tone adjustment controls to give you the best quality signal to noise ratio.
This telephone has an extra loud visual ringer that can amplify the ringer volume up to 88db.
The Clarity C4220 has a speaker phone that is handy when you are trying to keep up with automated menus asking you to make a number selection on your keyboard and listen too.
This telephone can be wall mounted.
This telephone also gives you the choice of using its 2.5mm jack for a headset, or the 3.5mm jack for a neck loop.
A setting will automatically return the amplification level back to the normal level when I hang up. However, if I was the only one using this telephone, I could keep the same amplification I previously used.
Be aware that the manufacturer recommends plugging the power cord for this telephone into a wall outlet that has no other appliances plugged into that same outlet. Failure to do this can cause the telephone to act erratic. Otherwise, this telephone is very dependable and operates very well.
After years of trying various amplified telephones, I can highly recommend the Clarity telephones.
1 Star Clarity 5.8GHZ cordless phone does not ring
This phone only rings once if it rings at all. The volume boost does not work as it is described. I am very disappointed in this phone. I bought it for my mom who has hearing disabilities. Would not recommend it to anyone.

4 Stars Works well enough for its purpose
I have one of these for well over a year. It’s not a cure-all for the hard-of-hearing, but it does a good job of amplifying the handset, making it easier to hear the other party.
If there is hiss or noise on the line that gets louder too; there is no smart noise reduction or sophisticated filtering (I think it simply cuts out out low frequencies), but for the cost it is an effective tool for people with hearing difficulties.
It was dead easy to install, and has been quite reliable.
1 Star clarity portable line amplifier CE-125
I bought this phone amplifier for my 86 year old mom. It worked fine for about a month and then completely died. Tried new batteries, nothing! Couldn’t even get a dial tone when it was attached. The phone worked fine without the amplifier attached. I would not recommend this item.

The device works OK, although for the hard-of-hearing (reason for purchase)the upward range could be greater..
As for Amazon – I think it’s ridiculous that the shipping cost should be as much as the purchase price.

This item is a complete piece of junk. It has so much interference and distortion as to be totally useless. I threw it in the garbage.
