User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Best earphones
These are the earphones you can exercise with; they stay in the ear. So many of the ear buds fall out when walking or running, but these earphones come with an assortment of ear buds to fit your ears – and to stay in place. Best ones without it costing an arm and a leg.

3 Stars Nice when they’re not broken!
I like these headphones a great deal. The only issue is that after a couple of years of service, they both cracked and separated at the cable / case interface within about a month. The fracture was the same shape on both earpieces which leads me to believe this is a design flaw. The neck of the cable where it attaches to the earbud is a weak point, and needs to be beefed up.

Maybe they have strengthened the housing…I dunno. But going forward, I will be looking for another pair of earbuds that are not made of plastic, and/or don’t have an obvious weak point which invites catastrophic failure after a couple of years of light use.

Also be aware that Logitech has bought this company…don’t expect to get a lot of TLC from their support.

2 Stars Had a pair for one year
Ordered an expensive pair of headphones because I work out a lot and listen to music with other activities. These headphones lasted exactly one year and were no better than a $20 dollar pair. My left headphone went out and I can not get it back. So, I am throwing away and going with a cheaper brand. Its really that simple.

2 Stars Extreme disappointment
Clearly a lot of people have good experiences with these headphones or the rating wouldn’t be so high, even Wired magazine lists this brand as a top performer. I wish I could say they were worth the $90 I paid for them, but honestly their performance was far worse than the $20 Sony earphones I have. Maybe I just couldn’t get them seated in my ears properly, and oddly difficult task for something as simple as earphones. To create the ’seal’ they talk about I had to use the biggest cover, and really secure them where it felt like I had dived too deep into a swimming pool. That produced the best sound, which was, in my opinion, still tinny and severely lacking in bass, like an old clock radio. I returned them immediately. A 2-star rating just because, maybe just maybe, my inability to get them in properly was my fault. Presumably, with 3 sizes and two materials, one of them should have worked, but I wasn’t able.

2 Stars great if you can make them stay in your ears
I did a lot of research before choosing these and they got very high ratings for sound quality. I agree that if you can make them stay in your ears the sound quality is excellent. There was not a small enough rubber tip to fit in my ear unless I held them in with my fingers or perhaps I could have worn a vice grip to hold them in. If the tip is not positioned all the way in your ear canal the sound is not good. Obviously having them fall out is not convenient either. The over the ear cord design also was annoying. I bought dennon AH-C551 earbuds instead and they work much better (actually stay in) and come with optional long and short cords which is a nice feature. Beware of the return policy. I did not see anywhere, before buying the ultimate ears, that they are non-refundable. When I complained the seller said they were doing me a favor by giving me a refund minus a 25% restocking fee. When I contacted the seller before returning them for a refund they gave me instructions but did not mention the restocking fee. I didn’t find out about it until after they received my return and processessed the refund minus 25%.

5 Stars Great product
Only a penny can not beat a great deal like this, and it actually works and works great got my phone and headset hooked up to my computer, highly recommended.

5 Stars Wow I can’t believe it worked
Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter Dongle

this thing is great, only took me 5 minutes to get it installed and opeartional with my Dell Mini10 NetBook and my BlackBerry Storm. I use my devices on the bus, and while in transit, I can’t tell you how much faster and better the system is. I don’t need to attach that crazy micro usb cable any longer to use my Storm as a wireless broadband device. For the price you can’t beat it, and the foot print is so tiny I leave it in my mine. I’m running xp on one laptop, and vista on the other. We’re good, I may get another one for my third laptop!

3 Stars Took forever to get here!
The product took a long while to get to me, but I guess overall it seems to work well. I just recieved it today, so I will come back with another review soon. Oh yeah, my blue tooth head phones dont work with it wich kind of sucks, but we will see what else i can use it for.

1 Star Cheap Product… Dead on Arrival… Replacement has been shipped!
I bought this product from HDE because it was cheap and my old bluetooth dongle was dead. I realize now that this was a mistake because the product arrived DOA (Dead On Arrival). I am going to contact HDE to see if they will ship out a new one and when/if they do I will update my review then. Right now, I can’t recommend this product.

Contact with HDE has been made and they are shipping out a replacement dongle, when it arrives, the review will then be updated!
