AT&T 927 Corded Speakerphone is a phenomenal buy! I am on alot of conference calls and my clients tell me that I sound very clear.

Best phone I have had if I am honest! For once, I didn’t have to pay hundreds versus 20.00 bucks and change! B A R G A I N!!!!

5 Stars Does what we need and does it well.
In our part of Southern California the power is unreliable and goes out often. We have a back-up generator for the times the power is out for hours (or occasionally days). When the power first goes out we need to call the electric company and of course our cordless phones do not work. That’s why we have this phone. It does the trick. My wife calls the power company while I get the portable generator started.

Sound through the speakerphone varies based on how loud an automated attendant is. At first, I thought this was due to poor quality in the phone. The microphone hears really well. I like the handset for the AT&T 210 Trimline better, but this is a good phone.

5 Stars Amazing microphone for an amazing price.
A very high quality microphone headset for an amazingly low price. The sound comes through crisp and clear all in full stereo/surround sound and the microphone is great for “Instant Message” clients such as “AIM” or “Skype”,that use voice chat. Very conformable and for PC gamers there couldn’t be a much better or cheaper,high quality headset such as this. A defiant must buy for all PC/Laptop owners out there! 5/5!

5 Stars An excelent headset for a low price.
I was leary about buying this without reviews, but I went against my better judgement and bought it. I’m glad I did though. Though I’ve still yet to get everything running right under Ubuntu Linux, I’m almost done. When I plugged it in, I instantly got playback of everything I said into the mike, and quality is very good. It shipped days before it was set to as well. I’m planning on using this for animation voice overs and the sort (look at super stickman on google video or youtube in a week or so) and it seems well suited for that purpose. I just can’t think about one thing that the product is lacking, well, I suppose the design could be a BIT sturdier, but it seems good to me.

5 Stars Great product at an affordable price
Purchased this phone because my wife and I thought it was the perfect phone for the kitchen wall, and it is! Great phone at a great price. The only drawback compared to our previous phone is that it doesn’t have a belt clip attachment on the back side of the handset so you can have it at your side should you be on the move around your house or outside your home within the range of receiving calls.

4 Stars GE Cordless Phone 27831 and 27923 Good Value
I have had several of the GE Model 27831 and 27923 Cordless Phones. They are inexpensive. The sound quality is fair to good, and not excellent. Still a good value if this phone meets your needs.

The cost of the phone boxed with battery and base station is not much more than the cost of a replacement battery. When the battery goes, I buy another phone set and get both a new phone and a new battery! I then keep the older phone as a backup. I’ve had two where after using for over a year, the keypads failed. Perhaps they’ve improved the keypad failure rates on current design, as I have not had that problem in over a year.

The phone’s sound quality is not the best. That’s the trade off in price. There’s often some static when going more than twenty feet from the base station. Changing channels did not reduce the static. However the sound quality is adequate for my occasional use. I would not purchase for heavy use as a business phone due to the static, and for important calls I still use an older AT&T handset wired to the wall, as that sound quality is crystal clear with no static or distortion. Don’t expect crystal clear sound quality for this inexpensive cordless phone. That’s the trade-off between price and quality.

Upon turning up the speaker volume, feedback is often present. The microphone is very sensitive and picks up all other sounds in the room. Suggested improvements would be a more directional microphone and better shielding for RF noise interference to reduce static.

If you’re expecting crystal clear sound quality you will likely have to spend more for a higher quality phone. If you want an inexpensive phone with fair to good sound quality, this model may do it for you.

I’ve found this GE model to be a good value for a basic cordless phone.

1 Star Cordless Phone has problems
This phone had all the features I was looking for but had a alot of static in the line. I tested other Jacks and cords in the house and it still had noise. I’ve purchased another phone (Radio Shack) and it works perfectly.

1 Star low quality battery! buyer beware!
I have owned several of these phones in the past. The first worked perfectly for several years. I was so happy with the performance of the first phone that I continued to purchase them. Though the price has remained reasonable, the quality has taken a nosedive. The battery life is the main problem. Though I have replaced the battery several times, the batteries themselves are very weak. In the long run, they haven’t been worth the hassle of continually replacing phones and batteries. I’ll never give a second glance at one of these worthless phones again.

I looked and looked for a phone to replace my one that I had for 10 years…and after reading the reviews I thought I would try this one…and it’s great…I had so many problems with other phones that I tried not being able to hear the other person..this one is loud and clear.

1 Star worst phone I ever used
I bought the one with 3 handsets from Frys… quite possible the worst phone ever used. The charge in the batteries last only for one call or a few hours if not in use. The buttons are sticky… sometimes don’t work. The lowest ringer volume is also quite loud. the buttons are not intuitive as compared to panasonic.

Some employee at frys had actually used it and put it back on the shelves because there were already several numbers in the caller ID list when I opened the box.

Finally returned it and got a panasonic… which is also quite bad (see my review)

I would buy again from this seller. And the phones are great. I am only using 2 of them. So in another 2 years. I will use the other 2.

I love the new music on them besides the plain ringing. And it has some really great features on these phones. JJ

1 Star Batteries Are Awful…Philips Customer Service is Worse
I received this item and proceeded to charge the handsets for 24 hours before use as the packaging directed. After that period was over, I proceeded to try to use the phones. All four units were not fully charged…in fact were hardly charged at all.

I left them charge for another 24 hours. Still, hardly charged.

The owners manual indicated that if the phones were showing uncharged after they were charged that the batteries would need to be replaced. The batteries, on a BRAND NEW UNIT, need to be replaced?! I called Philips. They were completely unresponsive and COLDLY indicated that the batteries were not able to be covered by the warranty. I would have to buy new batteries myself. I called the seller, Doug Gold. He at least tried to be helpful and seemed to be willing to take the units back…but also would not provide replacement batteries (he indicated that he did not have any available).

I finally went and bought new batteries, charged them, and the units…so far…work fine.

Buyer beware, you should factor in the cost of about $25 in new batteries to your cost estimate for this unit because you WILL NEED new batteries…whether or it be right away as I had…or soon after as other reviewers had. You should also be wary of Philips customer service because Customer Service for Philips is in fact an oxymoron.

2 Stars 2 of the 4 phones work. Battery Charging issues
Only two of the four phones work. I have contacted customer supprt but no response now for 10 days.

3 Stars Good phones, but could be better
We got this phone system to replace an AT&T cordless phone system that quit working. The phones are compact, light weight, and stylish. They work fine. I haven’t had any problems with static or low volume. But they are not perfect. The batteries that come with them are not very good. Even with full charge the battery runs out very quickly. It uses rechargable AAA 740 mAh batteries. I recommend that anyone considering this purchase get some better batteries at the same time.

There are a couple of other quirks that I don’t really like. If you want to look at the recent calls you actually have to go into the call log, which is annoying. On my old phone you just had to arrow up and it went right into the call history. On this one you arrow up and it takes you to a menu and then you have to open the call log. It’s just one extra step, but it seems excessive.

Even though I haven’t had trouble with the sound, the lack of a volume control is a little annoying.

Other than those minor problems, I have found this phone to be adequate and the quality to be acceptable.
