Hi! I'm going to be getting an apartment in New York City about a year from now, and am starting to accumulate kitchen accessories and things like that, and am also planning on starting an account in which I can put save up for the rent! SO I'm very new at all this, only nice responses please. What is included in the rent you pay? Is electricity, gas, water, etc. included or do you pay that separately as well? What other types of payments do you make each month that I might not be thinking of? Next, I'd like any additional info and advice you have! What is a reasonable amount for rent, esp if you live in New York? I set my standards high...and sometimes need help with what's realistic haha. I'm sure they don't pay your cable, so I'd like to know how much you pay for cable.. I will probably have to miss out on my digital comcast dvr :((( woohoo being poor once you move out! I'd also be interested to know.. and I'm sorry if this sounds very silly... is it ever possible to pay rent early? What about cell phone bills and things like that? My main concern is the first section, that's what's important, but I'd really like to know the other things as well! Thanks so much.. and again, I know I'm young and should know more of this before I move, and I will! But that's partly why I came here, to get other people's opinions and experiences who've been through it, esp if they live in the area, because my personal family and friends can only know so much when they've never lived there! Honestly, it feels the worst part of the day for me. But when I'm up... I'm happy and lively and all that haha! I have an alarm on my phone (on full volume), I have a digital alarm clock and a non digital and I set them all for the same time and I still find it almost impossible to get up in the mornings. What other methods could I use to try and get me up etc. Thanks!

i have NO CLUE what to ask for. i'm 14 years old. i already have mostly everything ive wanted in the past. i've gotten it over the years. but my parents are looking for me to give them a list of what i want and i have no clue what to even start with.! i told them i really don't want anything specific and my mom said "well just make a list jill!" and i'm like...."uhhh...okay?" so here i am having NO CLUE what i want! please help me! i already have.. 1. a laptop 2. a cell phone 3. an itouch 4. digital camera 5. a dog (cute one at that. haha) 6. ipod docking station 7. guitar 8. piano 9. and other things.. but you get the general idea. please, be specific in your ideas. i'm sure there will be other 14 yr olds answering this question. what do YOU want for christmas? tell me! might help me too! haha. so give me two things in your answer. a) what do YOU want for christmas? b) what do you think a 14 yr old would want for christmas? Ok im a guy turning 16 later this month. By the end of this week i need birthday gift ideas. I'll give you a list of what i have and my hobbies and such. I have XBOX 360 WII Car Good shoes Laptop Decent phone Itouch A closet full of clothes Webcam Digital Camera Tivo Alot of video games ( i get an employee discount) A necklace Nice watch TV Before you go off on a tangent about how i am spoiled, most of this i buy on my own salary I do cross country and i like to just chill and read, i have a ton of books i have to read still so dont suggest that, I like music, but have no instrumental talents at all...i have no artistic talents at all really so nothing artsy haha...and there is pretty much no where to throw a big party here so dont suggest that either THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hi everyone, I'm a male undergraduate university student. A lot of times when I'm in the dining hall, or hanging out in campus I notice girls out of the corner of my eye taking pointing me out to their friends and taking a picture of me on their cell phones or digital cameras. I notice this happening on average at least once a day on average, which means it happens probably more than that. Twice last year I went to the restroom and felt someone following me and when I came out a girl took a picture. A lot of times when I'm introduce myself to a girl her face will flush red and she will keep putting her hands on my arms and shoulder. This happens with girls of all ethnicities. This is very embarrassing for me, and though I like the attention, a lot of times I feel like a museum exhibit. I'm usually mean to girls and ignore their advances and attention. I really don't know anything about women, I don't have any close girl friends and I don't sleep around: I have this deep seeded hatred against women, so I wouldn't feel comfortable asking a girl what she thought of me. I'm not tall, but in all my vain, arrogance and personal bias, I have yet to see a guy who possessed the handsomeness of my face. Anyways I just wanted to see how often do you take a picture of a good looking guy in public? No I'm not gay... haha, and yes this is serious. Thanks for your answers, Courtney cute pic
