Open Question: i work at a call center, is there a way to block the recording?

I work at a call center were a bunch of stupid people call in that get lured into memberships with a $50 gift card, free gas or cash back. They call me to cancel these memberships. some of them I'd like to tell them stuff that's not scripted. Is there some hardware that I can put between my headset and the phone that will block the digital recordings, yet lets the customer and I speak?
