2 Stars Very Tinny
I guess this is better than nothing but the sound quality is pretty poor. You get a bit of a hum and the sound quality is very tinny. I would definitely not recommend this item.

4 Stars USB Sound Card Adapter for Laptop use
My company provided me a laptop for business use, and to make sure, ordered it from Lenovo without the sound hardware.

This device allows me to view You Tube videos now with sound. It works fine. Just plugged it in and it works.

It’s a little bulky, and when plugged in to my side USB port, it elevates the computer such that the weight is taken by the device. I have to put the laptop on a book when I use this adapter and have the adapter hang over the side of the book (we are talking about 1/4 inch) Also, I don’t like how the LED flashes constantly when audio streams thru.

It is inexpensive and works well except for the few negatives mentioned.

4 Stars so tiny!
on the picture it actually looks quite big.

well, it’s not!

when i opened the envelop it came in, i was amazed by it’s small size.

it works well, but the sound quality isn’t great.

4 Stars Passable Sound, Good Price, Nothing Fancy
I got this USB sound card to replace a bad sound card in a used Pentium II Thinkpad that I got. I am running Ubuntu Linux 8.10 which recognized the sound card, though you need to make sure it is OSS rather than ALSA on the settings. I had some reservations about ordering it, because of the number of reviews that had complaints. The sound was about the same quality as the sound card would have been if it was working, which is all that I wanted. The USB plug did not fit the side port, it was too thick on the plastic to snuggle in, so I used an extension USB inbetween and it worked fine. I did not want to buy a more expensive USB card and this one did the job. I did not test the microphone and do not know how it works.

5 Stars Inexpensive and functional.
These things do exactly as they say. Windows plug and play USB sound output. Hmmm, I haven’t used the input yet and I likely won’t. This must be the QUICKEST and EASIEST way add audio capabilities to a lacking computer.

4 Stars Just what I wanted
When talking on my wireless or cell around the house, I prefer an over-the-head headset. My previous one broke so I bought this. Nothing fancy, but it does just what I wanted.

4 Stars Great headset, no problems
Have no problems with this headset. Received it a couple of weeks ago and I can hear clearly and can also be heard clearly. Feels more comfortable on my head than my previous model.

5 Stars Nice Headset, but…
Summary: Excellent headset for the money. But, I have had a couple with wires failing over 3 to 9 months of daily use at work. This headset is equal to Plantronics M201C. Switching the mike amp on with the 201c does increase volume a little, but isn’t as clear. The Panasonic TCA80 (foldable) does not sound a good on the other end, not as crisp, but it is still acceptable.

Side note: With three bluetooth headsets, of varying reported quality, I realized that you just don’t get the same quality that hard wired ones give you. Primarily, the difference is in how good you sound on the other end.

3 Stars Not the best headset
I can definitely tell the difference between headset volume and handset volume. Listeners ask me to speak louder. Satisfactory for the cost, but should be better on volume.

4 Stars Very handy
Bought this along with the Panasonic phones and love it. Great for use on the phone chasing & carrying a toddler around!

Review: Sprint KATANA Eclipse by Sanyo

Also making its way into CG HQ is the Sprint Katana Eclipse from Sanyo. This too is a simple, yet effective flip phone. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s the tiny details that make this particular device stand out from the crowd. Said tiny details are the two light bars on the front flap that can be customized for contacts, messages, phone calls, etc. in one of 40 different variations that range from simple blinks to elaborate light shows. The colors include, red, green, blue, yellow, purple, or
